Beta-alanine of The Performance line is a pre-workout preparation delivering beta-alanine in the patented form of CarnoSyn®, enriched with L-histidine and vitamin B6. Recommended to adults who are physically active during periods of the most gruelling, prolonged endurance and strength trainings.

Beta-alanine is a component of the dipeptide carnosine (ß-alanyl-L-histidine), naturally occurring in skeletal muscle, particularly in fast-shrinkable type II muscle fibers. Under natural conditions in the body carnosine buffers the pH decrease associated, among others, with the formation of lactic acid in the muscles during exercise, delaying muscle fatigue and enabling the lengthening of the training session1. The amount of carnosine produced by muscles is directly dependent on the availability of beta-alanine, so supplementation of beta-alanine is very important to increase the concentration of carnosine in muscles2. Studies have discovered that supplementation of beta-alanine, not only delays fatigue, but also increases muscle strength and endurance3,4.

L-histidine belongs to a group of exogenous amino acids, which the body itself cannot synthesize and it has to be supplied with food. It is involved in protein synthesis, and along with beta-alanine is a precursor of carnosine, affecting its content in the working muscles.

Vitamin B6 is a vitamin of the B group, soluble in water and is involved in many key processes, particularly important for physically active people:

HOW TO USE

Dissolve 5g powder (about ½ scoops) in 150-200 ml of water, drink for 30 minutes before the planned training.
